Rev. Christopher Steck, S.J. was born in Pt. Arthur, TX. After working as a circuit designer for Texas Instruments in Houston, he entered the New Orleans Province of the Jesuits in 1983. He was ordained a priest in 1994, and then began Ph.D. studies at Yale University in Christian Ethics. Upon completion of the degree in 1999, he began work in the Theology Department at Georgetown. Father Steck is presently a Jesuit-In-Residence in New South Hall and keeper of the Georgetown mascot, Jack the Bulldog.
