The Catholic Community at Georgetown continually finds itself immersed in the language of the world while exploring deeply the language of what it means to be a disciple of Christ in the 21st Century. You’ll find here many friends from every corner of our wonderful university. At the heart of our common life here on the Hilltop is the celebration of Mass- the Source and Summit of our worship. Sunday nights finds Dahlgren Chapel packed out with students lifting up their hearts and voices in praise for gifts received. Each of our Sunday evening Masses has a distinct feel or flavor. The 7:30 Mass features contemporary music while the 9:30 is more aligned with a traditional high Mass. 11 PM Mass finds a good number of students praying fervently but quietly as they come together at the end of a long day. We also have Mass for the Spanish speaking community on the 3rd Sunday of each month and weekly Masses in the late morning and afternoon for members of the larger university community.
Georgetown, seeking to form students to be women and men for others also offers many different styles of retreats, immersion trips, service opportunities, student organizations (Knights of Columbus, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, GU Catholic), prayer groups and choirs. We invite you to come and see all of the wonderful things we have going on in the Catholic Chaplaincy at Georgetown University. Come, taste and see the goodness of the Lord here at Georgetown University!
