Muslim Student Association
The Muslim Students Association of Georgetown University is an organization comprised of Muslim students, and serves to unite the Muslim student community through a series of spiritual, educational and social activities. As the only organization currently on Georgetown’s campus that deals with Muslim students, it also helps to ensure that some of the needs of Muslim students are met. For many, it fills the role of being a home away from home.

Several factors connected to the make-up of its members and its surrounding environment give GU MSA its very unique identity, and make it a strong and dynamic group. Located in Washington DC at a Jesuit institution, Georgetown attracts people of all walks of life, and with all kinds of interests. Just as the government and non-profit national organizations head-quartered in Washington provide a wealth of information and opportunities, the Muslim organizations located in the area similarly serve a vital purpose. With over half a million Muslims and 25 masjids in the Baltimore-Washington Area, dozens of Islamic schools, including two graduate institutions, a range of national political and media organizations, and think tanks, Washington houses a variety of resources for any Muslim to easily take advantage of.
