Fall Retreat
November 7-8th, 2008
The annual fall retreats are for Georgetown students to get a chance to reflect and rejuvenate one's spirit and appreciate the beauty of nature. Previous retreats included hiking, climbing, sports, picnics, small group reflections, and bigger group discussions and lectures.
Between the inspiring lectures, small group discussions, a mosque-building competition, and organized group prayers, students also found plenty of time to hike, play sports, cook and eat, and play games late into the night. Ending the weekend as guests at a student's house with dinner and a trampoline was a perfect way to enjoy each other's company and build on the friendships we made throughout the weekend. In all, students find past fall retreats a fun, enlightening, and relaxing community event!
Spring Retreat
March 2009
The spring retreat has traditionally been a fun and spiritual excursion for students to reflect on the upcoming graduation and summer months.
Memorable activities included spelunking through a cave, canoeing, s'mores around the campfire, sports, and plenty of barbecues. We look forward to this year's upcoming retreat, as it is also the last chance for many of the MSA seniors to spend quality time with each other and other Muslim students before graduation.
