On a Mission: Jesuit and Mormon Mission Experiences in Dialogue
Where: Makom (Leavey Center)
When: Thursday, April 18th at 6pm
Missionary work, including service and evangelism, has long played a central role in how Christians practice their faith. Since St. Ignatius founded the Jesuit Order in 1534, Jesuit missionaries have preached and served on every continent. Likewise, from its earliest days Mormon missionaries have spread their faith one knocked-door at a time.
Come and see a Jesuit priest, a student hoping to enter the Society of Jesus, a student recently returned from a Mormon mission, and a Mormon Mission President discuss how and why they serve as missionaries. 'Go ye therefore and teach all nations...and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.'
Dinner will be served - RSVP is requested to lap48@georgetown.edu.
