Junior Retreats

The Junior Retreat is part of a new series of retreats designed by Campus Ministry to provide space, between ESCAPE and Senior Retreat, for juniors to reflect in community. It’s not ESCAPE, because you’re not a first-year student - it’s a space to focus on decision making in the context of community and calling, accompanied by chaplains and staff. Your junior year is a year of significant decision making. How do you listen to your interior voice? Are you at a crossroads, either with a relationship or with a career or academic decision? What spaces and relationships exist for you to work through major life challenges and decisions?

Cut through the noise and take some time for yourself. Strengthen your reflective capacities, and connect your reflection to the everyday “stuff” of life. Get away to the beautiful Calcagnini Contemplative Center and spend time in community with your fellow juniors. You’ll hear talks from chaplains and staff, participate in an Ignatian contemplative practice, and spend time in community discussing your own journey. There will be free time for you to connect more deeply with yourself, your peers, and the chaplains and staff accompanying the retreat.

The Junior Retreat is grounded in our Ignatian spirit and values and embraces the experiences and perspectives of students of all religious and non-religious backgrounds as it seeks to promote a broad understanding of spirituality.
