Dr. Shazetta Thompson-Hill

Rev. Dr. Shazettta Thompson-Hill (Dr. Z) currently serves as the Program Director for Residential Ministry, overseeing the work of an inter-religious team that provides spiritual care and accompaniment to Georgetown students who live on-campus. Dr. Z an ordained elder in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She has worked in instructional and administrative capacities in educational organizations and institutions in Tennessee, Texas, Florida, and New York.  She holds the BA in Mass Communication from Lane College; the Master of Social Work and the Master of Education in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from Loyola University Chicago;  the Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary; and the Doctor of Ministry from Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology.  Dr. Z’s career focus and goal is the development and cultivation of environments where faith, education, and society can effectively coexist to address the needs of higher education communities.  She enjoys photography, minimalism, and travel and  is married to Rev. Jeremiah Hill, Esq. Together, they have two sons, Isaac and Alex and serve as Residential Ministers to Alumni Square and the Townhouses.
