Interfaith Programs and Services
One of the core values of Georgetown is Interreligious Understanding, a commitment to be in community with and learn from those of various religious backgrounds. Campus Ministry invites students to engage in these practices through various interfaith events and series. One-time events are held regularly throughout the academic year around specific topics or traditions. Past events include “The Muslim Jesus”, “Striking Imagery: Icons and Iconoclasm”, and “Sink or Swim: Jews and Muslims Crossing the Sea”, among many others.
Furthermore, Campus Ministry encourages the Georgetown community to explore the wide array of religious services, holiday celebrations, and small group opportunities on campus both within and outside of one’s own tradition. Visiting a service is a great way to learn more about different religious traditions and all of our services are open to visitors.
