Serene’s ancestry links back to the Quechan Fort Yuma tribe, located on the border of California and Arizona. She is a senior in the College of Arts & Sciences studying American Musical Cultures and Journalism. Serene is the President of the Circle of Indigenous Students Alliance at Georgetown University. After graduating, she looks forward to enrolling in a musicology or ethnomusicology PhD program. In her downtime, she enjoys reading Russian literature, trying new recipes, and listening to film scores.
