Luciana Paz

Luciana Paz is the Assistant Director for Interreligious Student Engagement at Georgetown University’s Capitol Campus. She fosters belonging, reflection, and interreligious collaboration among students, faculty, and staff through events, retreats, and community initiatives. Before joining Georgetown, Luciana served as a Writer-Editor for environmental compliance at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, supporting various federal statutes and leading multicultural events and projects across federal, nonprofit, and educational settings. During her time in government, she also advanced professional and personal development opportunities for employees of various backgrounds. As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique, she taught English and technology at a Marist Catholic school and helped educate youth and families about HIV and malaria prevention. Luciana holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Journalism from the University of Tampa and speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Outside of work, she’s a triathlete who enjoys training for her next race, writing poetry, coordinating Spanish language and cultural programs on weekends with not-profit Isabella & Ferdinand Academia de Español, supporting Bolivian wildland firefighters, and sharing sobremesa stories with friends about faith, culture, and connection.
