Weekend Ignatian Retreat

The Weekend Ignatian Retreat is a silent retreat that explores the five steps of the Examen in great detail. The Daily Examen, as it is often referred, is a technique of prayerful reflection on the events of one’s day in order to detect God’s presence and discern God’s direction for us. The Examen is an ancient practice in the Church that can help us see God’s hand at work in our daily lives. Retreatants will be invited to review their lives from a prayerful and God-centered perspective. Retreat Chaplains will offer reflections to guide personal prayer time and are available for one-on-one spiritual conversation. This retreat, in the Christian and Catholic tradition, is open to Georgetown faculty and staff, alumni of all faith traditions. While priority is given to faculty, staff, and alumni, graduate and undergraduate students may attend, with permission.
