Semester Break begins Sunday, December 21, and ends Tuesday, January 6

There are no Masses, Sunday or weekday, during the break (including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Daily Masses resume on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Sunday Masses resume on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Sunday:

• Monthly Sunday Mass in Spanish | 4 PM | Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart

Weekday:

• Weekday (Monday through Friday) Mass | 12:10 PM | Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart (last service for the semester is on Wednesday, December 17)
• Weekday (Monday through Thursday) Student-Only Mass | 9 PM | Copley Crypt Chapel. (last service for the semester is on Wednesday, December 17)

Monday:

• Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament | Monday nights, following 9 PM Mass, until 10:30 PM | Copley Crypt Chapel

Sunday:

• Buddha Pūja with Acharya Matt followed by Chā | 1:30 PM | Dharmic Meditation Center
• Weekly Āratī Gathering in the Śākta, Śaiva, Vaiṣṇava, Smārta, Sanātana (Hindu) Dharmas, followed by dinner | 5 PM | Dharmic Meditation Center

Tuesday:

• Introduction to Hatha Yoga | Tuesdays | 7 PM

Evening Prayer has concluded for the fall semester and will resume once classes begin in January.

Wednesday:

• Wednesday Evening Prayer | 8 – 8:30 PM | Hawkins Hall Ecumenical Chapel | (Open, drop-in song practice at 7:30 PM)

Shabbat has concluded for the fall semester, except for a Shabbat dinner on Dec. 19 at 6:30 pm for students still on campus. Shabbat will resume once classes begin in January.

Friday:

• Shabbat Services | 5:30 PM | Makom, Leavey Center

Services have concluded for the fall semester and will resume once classes begin in January.

Daily:

• Isha Salat Prayers | 9 PM | Yarrow Mamout Masjid, Village C (Level 2, enter from the central outdoor staircase)

Friday:

• Jum’ah Salah | 1 PM | Yarrow Mamout Masjid, Village C (Level 2, enter from the central outdoor staircase)

Vespers have concluded for the fall semester and will resume once classes begin in January.

Tuesday:

John Main Center for Christian Contemplation programming will resume in the spring semester.

The John Main Center (JMC) is open Monday-Friday from 7 am to 10 pm for personal contemplation and meditation time and also offers weekly guided Christian contemplative meditation sessions. The JMC is located in Anne Marie Becraft Hall on Georgetown’s main campus near Dahlgren Quad at the corner of Old North Way and Library Walk.
