"The HSA allowed me to strengthen my faith by not only connecting me back to my family's heritage, but moreover by doing so in the context of a Jesuit backdrop." -Ronak Parikh, B'12

Hindu Community

The Hindu Students Association (HSA) at Georgetown University welcomes students of all faith traditions. We gather for communal chanting, meditation and discussion at weekly pujas (prayer services) in Makóm in the Leavey Center. Our pujas combine Sanskrit and English text to connect us to our tradition while making it accessible to all who attend. Additionally, the broader Georgetown community joins us in celebration of Hindu holy days, such as Diwali and Holi. We hope our ministry promotes awareness on the Hindu faith, builds community, and cultivates personal spiritual growth.

Worship Schedule

  • Puja is held every Sunday at 5 pm in Makóm.
